About Me

My name is Omar Elsayed, and I am a sports journalist with four semesters of experience on the Southeastern Media/Sports Network staff. Growing up as an athlete, I have always been passionate about sports and storytelling. There is nothing I find more rewarding than watching an idea or story angle I am truly passionate about come to life through my work.I currently serve as the Social Media Manager for the Southeastern Media Network, the Sports Editor of The Orb news magazine, and a Team Lead and Creative Professional for Southeastern Sports Network. Although I specialize in sports writing and photography, I am a very versatile and fast-learning journalist committed to delivering high-quality content across all media platforms, including videography, news writing, graphic design, and social media. I am also a member of the Quill and Scroll Honor Society and am committed to consistently demonstrating excellence across every project I undertake.
